About

Julie Grages Olson

Founder of ClearPath Co. Two decades in social services — leading organizations, developing supervisors and programs, and working directly with individuals and families.

The same problem, seen from two directions.

After more than twenty years working inside social service systems, Julie kept running into a version of the same challenge from different vantage points.

Organizations struggle to turn regulations, responsibilities, growth, and genuinely good intentions into systems that work in daily practice. Leaders know something needs to change; identifying what, and in what order, is harder.

Individuals and families meet complicated service systems at exactly the moment they are already managing significant change or difficult decisions. They are handed phone numbers, forms, and unfamiliar terms, then left to assemble a plan from it.

In both cases, more information usually isn't the answer. What helps is someone experienced who can sort through what's there, identify what matters, explain the options, ask better questions, and help determine practical next steps.

ClearPath Co was created to provide that kind of guidance.

Approach

Direct, without being intimidating.

Julie's work is practical and collaborative. She asks questions, listens for what's underneath the presenting problem, and says plainly what she thinks — including when something isn't possible or when another professional is the right person to ask.

With organizations, that means solutions your staff can actually use. With individuals and families, it means adult-to-adult conversation, respect for the person at the center of the decision, and no pressure toward a particular outcome.
